New Year, New Fitness Consult!

If you are trying to understand how to workout in our new fitness space, you’ve set a goal to train for something, or you are simply trying to build a workout routine- a fitness consult is meant for you! If you’re a new member to the BAC, you may not have had a fitness consult with our training staff. If you’ve been a BAC member for decades, it’s possible you never had a fitness consult either, as these appointments are relatively new offerings in recent years. So then, what IS a fitness consult?!

Our consults are completed by the training staff. These appointments are an opportunity for us to get to know you, your fitness health needs, and to bring you into the BAC community! We have a large facility- coming to the gym can feel overwhelming ANYWAY; but, if you’re not sure how to use all this square footage, building a workout program on your own can feel disorganized. We want you to make the most of your membership! We’ll listen to your fitness goals and help you choose appropriate classes to attend, we’ll introduce you to equipment in the facility that would meet your needs, and if personal training is something you’re interested in we’ll also help set you up with one of our very skilled trainers!

A fitness consult also includes a movement screen, which will feel like a warm-up routine. It’s composed of a series of movements we will ask you to complete so we can note if you have any joint or muscle imbalances from one side to another. This is an awesome opportunity for us to help point you in the right direction for your specific needs!

Movements are easily modified if you need more support. If you have an injury, don’t worry! That’s when we really shine! This screen will probably help you EVEN MORE to ensure you are doing the right things for your body when you come to the gym. These photos are just some examples of the movements we would ask of you.
