I came to the BAC with a solid marathon running and aerobics teaching background, and I’m a five time finisher of the Boston Marathon. I began teaching the WalkReebok Walking Program for the Boston Athletic Club in 1993. After becoming certified through Mad Dogg Athletics as a Certified Spinning Instructor in 1996, I was lucky enough to teach spin at the birth of the BAC’s Spinning Program. Joining the fitness staff, I attained certifications through The National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) as a Personal Trainer (CPT) and a Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) which focuses on injury prevention and muscle imbalance. My most recent certification is as a Fitness Nutrition Specialist (FNS). I also recently completed my 200 hour RYT training and am a Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance, as well as a licensed Body Training Systems Group Power Instructor.
My highly-individualized personal training includes fitness programs for a range of clients who seek to safely achieve the long-term benefits of leading and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. My dedicated one-on-one philosophy opens a welcoming door to design the proper exercise program for each of my client’s lifelong well-being.
Since 2002, I have been competing in sprint, olympic, half-iron and ironman distance triathlons. The most notable being my participation in Age Group Nationals and the successful completion of both Ironman Florida and Ironman Arizona! I teach a multi-faceted group triathlon training program here at the BAC. It encompasses training in swimming, biking, running, nutrition, strength training and yoga, to give my triathletes, new and experienced, the proper foundation to reach their personal triathlon goals.
I practice what I preach, and love to balance life with family, wellness, fitness and fun. My husband Tom and I are raising three amazingly busy teenagers.
