Class Descriptions

30-MIN ABS Hit your middle with a blast of core conditioning exercises to enhance abdominal definition and stability.  This class is a must for any cyclist, runner, or fitness enthusiast needing to strengthen the stabilizer muscles.

ASHTANGA YOGA This dynamic workout will take you deeper into the basic poses and adds more advanced poses for the more advanced yoga participant.

BARRE CORE FUSION This barre class is a full-body workout designed to give you chiseled abs, toned legs, cut arms, and a high, lifted butt. This ballet inspired, core-centric class focuses on isolated core fitness exercises, alignment, flexibility and posture as you work through targeted mindful muscle movements. Suitable for all fitness levels.

BARRE WORKOUT During this class your muscles are taken through small movement patterns, and worked to exhaustion. After the move is finished it is followed by a stretch, which will release your muscle from fatigue.  This class is sure to challenge you and make you feel stronger and tighter!

CARDIO STRENGTH Expect anything in this high energy class, sure to get you ready for the weekend ahead! This full body workout will pair strength training with bursts of cardiovascular exercise – all geared toward burning fat and boosting your metabolism!  All fitness levels welcome.

CIRCUIT TRAINING Imagine the rigors of boot camp. Add music. Then throw in the latest cross-training exercises, weights, bars, and other props, and you’ve got the ultimate workout for the cross-trainer – that will challenge your agility, speed, strength, and endurance.

FOREVER FIT Classes These classes are geared toward our 50+ members. Our land classes include Forever FIT– a total body workout including some step aerobics, Forever STRONG – focusing on a combination of cardio, strength training, core work and flexibility, and Forever BARRE – a modified version of our Barre Workout Class. Our water class, Forever Fit AQUA, is a cardiovascular workout in the pool incorporating plyometrics and the water as resistance.  Muscular strength, endurance, and abdominal work are also included.

Group Fight™ is a gripping hour that burns a ton of calories and builds total body strength. Tap into the hottest mixed martial arts movements done at a rapid-fire pace to smash your cardio fitness! Group Power Guide to Getting Started

HIP HOP CARDIO Hip hop your way through an hour of high-energy dance set to pop and hip hop tunes. A short warm up will be followed by easy to follow routines to your favorite songs!  Come prepared to dance!

PILATES Practiced faithfully, Pilates will increase lung capacity and circulation through deep, healthy breathing. Strength and flexibility (particularly of the abdomen and back muscles) and coordination (both muscular and mental) are key components to the Pilates program.

RISE & SHINE YOGA Start your day with a Vinyasa Flow to stretch and awaken your muscles.  Expect to experience a range of postures with a focus on linking breath to movement.  Beginning slowly to wake up the body, this class will leave you feeling ready to conquer the day!  Perfect for beginners, and all levels welcome.

SCHWINN CYCLE A group experience on specifically designed stationary bikes. Our instructors will guide you through an intense ride, describing hills and simulating the terrain. You have the freedom to make your workout as challenging as you want.

SWIM CONDITIONING Work closely with your swim instructor to improve your technique and maximize your swimming strengths. Your instructor will create workout programs to challenge multi-level swimmers, from beginner to advanced. Also a great class if you’re looking to train for a triathlon! *Participants must already know how to swim to take class. Private swim lessons are also available from our instructor.

TABATA CARDIO An intense cardiovascular conditioning class that uses Tabata Interval Training (20 seconds of maximum intensity exercise, followed by 10 seconds of rest, repeated without pause 8 times for a total of 4 minutes).  Modifications can be made for all fitness levels.

TOTAL BODY WORKOUT As the name says, a total body workout incorporating multi-level cardio and strength exercises as a great way to break through a weight-loss plateau and burn a ton of calories!

VINYASA FLOW This yoga class will move fluidly through a challenging Vinyasa practice, where a series of postures are connected through the breath. The class will conclude with a slower, more meditative series of stretches, to relieve stress and restore balance to your mind, body, and spirit. Appropriate for new students as well as more seasoned practitioners, modifications are provided for varying levels of experience.

WATER WORKOUT A cardiovascular workout in the pool incorporating plyometrics and the water as resistance.  Muscular strength, endurance, and abdominal work are also included.  Also part of the Forever Fit program.

ZUMBA GOLD The easy-to-follow program that lets you move to the beat at your own speed. It’s an invigorating, community-oriented dance-fitness class that feels fresh, and most of all, exhilarating! Zumba Gold® classes provide modified, low-impact moves for active older adults.
